Volunteer Services - Ambulatory Care

KP retirees are now able volunteer their time in KPNW clinics! We invite you to bring your experience and compassion to join our clinic volunteer teams to help provide our members and patients with excellent care experiences, every time they visit. More.

Depending on the role and personal interests, volunteers may find themselves assisting with general clinic navigation, pushing wheelchairs for those needing help, offering comfort items like blankets, coffee, or games, socializing with members while they wait, completing administrative tasks to support staff, and working alongside staff and specific departments to reach the needs of the clinic. We provide training and supervision for all assigned tasks as long as you bring the heart!

This is an ongoing volunteer opportunity with a consistent weekly commitment of a 2-4 hours for at least 6 months. Shifts are generally available weekdays 8:00am-5:00pm, with occasional weekend availability. To be eligible for this volunteer role, volunteers must pass a background check, drug screen, and a Health Screen, to check for immunization to common infections. These screens come at no cost to volunteers.

We are currently welcoming volunteers at  the Interstate (North Portland, OR), Mt. Scott (Clackamas, OR), Salmon Creek (Vancouver, WA), and Sunset (Hillsboro, OR) medical offices. More sites to come in early 2018!

If you are interested in this role, we are happy to provide you with more information. Please contact us directly by calling Randi Orth, Volunteer Services Program Manager - Ambulatory Care, at 503-813-2268 or emailing Randi.Orth@KP.org.
